The Norwegian energy research and business intelligence company Rystad Energy is setting up in Frankfurt am Main. Rystad Energy is the largest independent energy consultancy in Norway and one of the world's leading providers of energy analyses. The relocation was supported by FrankfurtRheinMain GmbH International Marketing of the Region (FRM GmbH) in close cooperation with Germany Trade & Invest (GTAI), Hessen Trade & Invest GmbH (HTAI) and Economic Development Agency Frankfurt am Main.

Rystad Energy was founded in 2004 by Jarand Rystad, a Norwegian physicist and former McKinsey partner. The company specialises in analysing global energy issues and has a comprehensive database of production data and financing for all the world's oil and gas fields and reservoirs. In addition, Rystad Energy has developed similar databases for a variety of segments within the fossil and renewable energy production and related energy equipment and services sectors. Customers include oil, oil services and financial companies, as well as OPEC, the International Energy Agency and the World Bank. The company has an annual turnover of 130 million euros.
Rystad Energy is headquartered in Oslo, with additional offices in New York, Houston/Texas, Singapore, Dubai, London, Aberdeen, Rio de Janeiro, Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur, Beijing, Bangalore, Stavanger, Sydney, Perth and now also in Frankfurt.

FRM GmbH accompanied the first steps of the Rystad Energy branch. The Northern Europe team was the company's point of contact at every stage of the relocation process and, in collaboration with the Frankfurt Economic Development Agency, supported the energy consultant in the search for a suitable property, coordinated the property selection process and established contact with suitable business networks.
